I read an article online that talked about how James O'Dwyer raised money for people in Alabama after a tornado hit there on April 27, 2011. Mr. O'Dwyer started an organization called Magnolia Disaster Relief. Somehow, Nickelodeon heard about him, and he won a HALO award. He met Taylor Swift backstage here in Atlanta before one of her concerts.
When I read this article, it made me happy that one boy tried to overcome the sadness that many people had because they lost all that they had.

More Things I Do
I'll also post things that will amuse you, surprise you, and make you happy,or sad. It might amaze you as well.
Book Review: "Helen Keller, From Tragedy to Triumph" by Katherine E. Wilkie
"Helen Keller, From Tragedy to Triumph" by Katherine E. Wilkie is a biography of Helen Keller. The book begins when she was six years old, telling how she went from a healthy baby to being blind, deaf, and dumb. The story then talks about how Helen learned sign language, and finally was able to communicate with the world.
I like this book because it shows how a young, blind, deaf girl became famous for what she did and how she worked around her problems.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: "Remember the Ladies" by Jeri Chase Ferris
"Remember the Ladies" by Jeri Chase Ferris is a story about Abigail Adams. The story begins when Abigail Adams is a kid. The book talks about her wild beginning and goes through her education. Her father teaches her how to read in a time when women didn't read in general. The book then covers how she meets John Adams, and what she does during the American Revolution.
I like this book. I learned that life is a delicate thing that should be treasured. I think Abigail Adams is a good role model for young girls.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
